Planning Manager - Transmission & Distribution
Our client, a recognised leader within the UK's Transmission & Distribution sector, is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to strengthen their project delivery capability. This senior position plays a pivotal role in the effective leadership, management, and ongoing performance of the planning function supporting high-profile electric transmission projects nationwide. You will ensure that all planning resources, systems, and processes are robustly developed and aligned with industry best practice, driving the successful delivery of complex infrastructure works in full compliance with regulatory and client standards.
This position does involve some travelling to multiple offices across the UK and looking after a well established planning team across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for delivering complex planning and scheduling services. Oversee the establishment and maintenance of robust programme reporting and monitoring systems. Manage programme controls using Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and other advanced planning techniques. Work closely with Estimating, Quantity Surveying, and Document Control teams to ensure integrated cost and schedule management.
