My client based on the outskirts of Lincoln, requires a
Pivotal Steer FLT Driver.
This is to join their busy team for seasonal uplifts. The client specialises in seed production and storage.
The hourly rate for this role is £13.65 per hour and the working hours are 08:00 to 4:30pm. There may also be a requirement to cover some Saturdays.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a pivotal steer forklift truck to transport, store, and organize materials and products in the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient operation. The role requires someone with attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to follow safety protocols. This is a critical role within the warehouse team, and it requires the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of health and safety. In addition, the client demonstrates an adaptable and flexible workforce, with all candidates able to support in other departments when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the Pivotal Steer FLT safely and efficiently to move products and materials around the warehouse.
Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner, ensuring that products are handled with care.
Organize and store materials and goods in the designated locations, optimizing storage space.
Ensure accurate stock movement and update inventory records.
Inspect the forklift regularly, reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
Assist in stock-taking and conducting periodic stock checks as required.
Follow all relevant health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Report any health and safety issues, damage, or incidents immediately to supervisors.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring that all equipment is safely stored when not in use.
Assist with any additional warehouse duties as directed by the supervisor or manager.
You own ability to travel to work is essential due to the location of this site and there is no access to public transport.
