EG&R Engineering PC is a fast-growing multi-disciplinary engineering firm located in Somerset, NJ. EG&R provides electrical engineering and contracting services for a variety of markets including government, utilities/power, waste to energy companies, transit agencies, manufacturing industries, pharmaceuticals, A-E firms/Architects, and various types of commercial clients.

EG&R Engineering is seeking a Physical Layout Designer with Substation / Power experience to serve as an integral part of a talented team.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include working with a team of Electrical Engineers and Design drafters to generate Electrical layout drawings for High Voltage Substations and / or Power Plants.

Responsibilities will include preparing the following drawings for substation or power plant facilities:

General Arrangement Electrical Equipment Plans Conduit/Cable Schedules Electrical Details Section views and elevations Bill of Material Conduit / Raceway Plans / Cable Tray/ Underground Ductbank Lighting, Grounding, Power, Heat Tracing, etc Perform facility / substation walkdowns Following clients standards

All other duties as assigned Qualifications:

Previous work experience as Physical Designer in the Power Industry (substations / power plants) Experience in 3D Modeling Plant 3D and/or Revit Experience using AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment The applicant must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to be part of a project team
