Job: People & Culture Advisor Location: Speke, Liverpool (Hybrid – 4 days office, 1 day home)
Hours: Full Time, 8:45am-4:45pm Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 + 27 days holiday plus bank holidays

Now, we’re looking for an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Advisor to join our People & Culture team and help us create a positive, fair and supportive workplace for everyone.
About the role
As our People & Culture Advisor , you’ll be a key point of contact for managers and colleagues, providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of employee relations and people management. You’ll manage a varied caseload, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes, while also supporting the wider People & Culture team with initiatives that enhance engagement, inclusion, and employee experience.
You’ll have a strong grasp of employment law and HR best practice, and you’ll be confident coaching and supporting managers to handle issues effectively and independently
What you’ll do
Act as one of the main points of contact for HR and People queries.
Provide timely, pragmatic advice on ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, probation, and flexible working.
Manage ER cases from initial advice through to resolution, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Support the HR Business Partner with proactive interventions to improve engagement, culture, and retention.
Develop and deliver manager training on ER, people management and employment law updates.
Monitor trends in ER cases and provide insights to inform policy and process improvements.
Support and coordinate essential compliance training programmes.
Contribute to projects and initiatives that foster inclusion and strengthen our workplace culture.
About you
You’ll have a strong understanding of UK employment law and experience managing a variety of ER cases. You’re a confident communicator, able to build trust at all levels, and you approach challenges with resilience, empathy, and a solutions focus.
Essential:
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience managing ER cases independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
HR experience in logistics/manufacturing.
Broader HR generalist experience.
