Payroll Supervisor South Leicester Full Time, Permanent Circa £32,000 p.a

We are working on an exclusive basis with a well-established and growing business in South Leicester to recruit a Payroll Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their payroll career (3-5 years' experience) who is looking to step up into a more senior, supervisory position.

This is a newly created role, designed to bridge the gap between Payroll Administration and Payroll Management. You'll play a key part in supporting the Payroll Manager while overseeing the day-to-day payroll operations and guiding the team.

The Role - Support the Payroll Manager in delivering accurate, end-to-end payroll across the organisation - Oversee day-to-day payroll processing and ensure deadlines are consistently met - Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries - Supervise and support the team - Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NIC, pensions, and RTI submissions - Assist with month-end and year-end processes (P60s, P45s, P11Ds) - Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits where required - Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies

About You - 3-5 years' experience in payroll, with end-to-end processing experience - Ready to step into a supervisory or team lead role - Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance - Confident handling payroll queries and supporting junior staff - High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines - Experience with Sage 50 Payroll is highly desirable - Strong Excel and organisational skills
