Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fire Stopper to join our team on a permanent basis. The role will involve carrying out high-quality fire stopping works across sites throughout the East and West Midlands, ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain fire stopping systems in accordance with approved specifications and manufacturer guidelines
Carry out fire sealing to service penetrations, including pipes, cables, ducts, and trunking
Install fire barriers, fire batts, fire mastic, intumescent products, and collars
Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
Ensure all works meet current fire safety regulations and building standards
Complete work to a high standard within agreed timescales
Accurately record completed works, including photographic evidence and reports where required
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
Liaise professionally with site managers, clients, and other trades on site
Requirements:
Proven experience in fire stopping works
Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and regulations
Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
CSCS card (essential)
NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection or equivalent (preferred)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
