S2 Learning Mentor | Druids Heath, Birmingham Part time (2-3 PDW) | Ongoing Role | Starting 5th January 2025 Salary: £89 - £110 per day

We are seeking a KS2 Learning Mentor to join a primary school in Druids Heath, Birmingham, starting on 5th January 2025. This ongoing, part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to support children in Key Stage 2, particularly those facing challenging behaviours and additional learning needs.

As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with children to help them overcome barriers to learning, support their behavioural development, and ensure they progress academically. You will play a key role in bringing children up to where they need to be, providing consistent and compassionate support to help them thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, particularly those with challenging behaviours * Work to engage and motivate children, ensuring they stay on track with their learning and development * Support the classroom teacher in adapting learning to meet the individual needs of students * Encourage positive behaviour, helping children to develop social and emotional skills * Monitor and track students' academic progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents * Help students develop their self-esteem, resilience, and confidence, addressing emotional barriers to learning * Collaborate with teachers, parents, and...
