Job Description

A leading designer and manufacturer of Optical Systems is now looking for an Optical Engineer to join their Oxfordshire team.\n\nWorking in a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in all aspects of product design, development, NPI and assembly.\n\nThis hands-on role would suit an optical engineer with some experience in working with the production department assembling the parts designed, sorting out issues during the NPI phases, etc.\n\nYour key responsibilities will include the design and optimisation of optical systems, working with customers to understand their requirements and leading the NPI projects to meet customer needs.\n\nJoining a rapidly growing SME, you will enjoy a range of excellent benefits, a competitive salary and an excellent working environment with strong support for further career and personal development.\n\nQualifications:\n\nIdeally you will have studied Physics / Optics to Degree level and have gained some commercial experience in the design or development of Optical systems.\n\nExperience:\n\nThis role would suit a Graduate with a couple of years’ experience working in production / assembly, resolving issues raised during the NPI processes.\n\nIdeally you should also have experience with optical design software such as Zemax, OpticStudio and also Python.\n\nAdditional Information:\n\nCandidates must be in the UK and be eligible to live and work in UK.
