Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Homes covering the Northeast of England

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

Reporting To: Director of Care

We are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to join our team and help us continue to provide exceptional services to our residents.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Care Division management team to deliver high-quality services that meet the strategic goals of the organisation and improve the health and wellbeing of residents.
  • Foster joint working and shared learning across all sites, supporting care staff in delivering outstanding care and ensuring safe, therapeutic environments.
  • Oversee the management of occupancy, marketing, and revenue across services.
  • Assist the Director of Care with budget planning, ensuring staffing levels, skill mix, and operations align with best practices.
  • Manage the efficient and effective operation of designated business locations.
  • Lead and support a group of Registered Managers, working closely with them to improve CQC ratings and local authority bandings.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior health and social care leaders to drive the growth and development of our care services.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to Registered Managers to foster both personal and professional development.
  • Support managers and staff in understanding performance and implementing changes to policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal responsibilities, including the Health and Social Care Act, Care Quality Commission regulations, and safe medication practices.
  • Represent the organisation in external partnerships and network meetings in an innovative and committed manner.
  • Promote and share best practices across care and support services.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • First-level nurse qualification/Registered Managers Award/NVQ Level 4/5 in Management
  • Significant management experience within the residential care sector
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of care service issues, including legislative frameworks and Clinical Governance
  • In-depth knowledge of the challenges facing older adults, including dementia care
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and managing large budgets
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Full driving licence (travel to care homes across the Northeast is required)
