Title: Operations Coordinator - Vehicle Conversion (High Wycombe)Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, South East, HP10 0HH, UKCompany: E3 RecruitmentWe are seeking a hands-on Operations Coordinator to manage and support external vehicle conversion partners delivering specialist build work for our business. Acting as the central link between internal teams and third-party contractors, you will ensure vehicles are converted to specification, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.This is not a purely desk-based role. You will use your practical knowledge of vehicle conversion, coachbuilding, or specialist vehicle manufacturing to challenge processes, support build teams on-site, and resolve issues quickly and effectively.Key Responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator - Third-Party Converter ManagementServe as the primary contact for external vehicle conversion partnersSupport, train, and onboard converters to deliver new and existing vehicle build typesEnsure converters operate within their technical capability and production capacityIdentify, escalate, and resolve issues affecting quality, cost, or delivery timelinesBuild Support & Technical CoordinationEnsure converters work from the latest build documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and visual referencesProvide technical support during builds and act as the go-to contact during and after conversionsCoordinate prototype and new build training, including on-site sessions when requiredQuality Control & ComplianceMonitor build quality at third-party sites through regular checks and inspectionsCoordinate formal quality reviews and follow-up visits where issues ariseRecord and report vehicle damage or defects, ensuring corrective actions are implementedPlanning, Scheduling & LogisticsWork closely with internal production and scheduling teams to forecast workloads and allocate vehicles appropriatelyMonitor build progress and maintain visibility of converter capacityCoordinate supply, collection, and return of parts and consumables to support uninterrupted buildsOversee stock control for free-issue or consignment parts held at converter sitesGeneral Responsibilities - Attend operational, technical, and planning meetingsMaintain accurate records and system updates relating to parts, builds, and supplier activitySupport continuous improvement across third-party conversion processesUndertake additional reasonable duties in line with the roleWhat we are looking for in an Operations Coordinator - Proven hands-on experience in vehicle conversion, coachbuilding, specialist vehicle builds, or a closely related automotive environmentStrong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and technical drawingsConfident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships with external contractorsHighly organised, able to manage multiple builds and priorities simultaneouslyComfortable working independently while collaborating across internal departmentsStrong IT skills, including Excel and standard office systems (ERP experience advantageous)Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to external sites, including occasional overnight staysDesirableThe operations coordinator will come from a background in mechanical, electrical, or engineering disciplinesFamiliarity with CAD or technical drawing systemsExperience working in fast-paced, build-to-order, or project-based environmentsLocation: High Wycombe (office-based with occasional travel) Salary: Circa £40k (dependant on experience) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm) Holidays: 25 days + bank holidaysFor more information about the Operations Coordinator role, please contact Sophie Ranson at E3 Recruitment or hit 'Apply' now!TPBN1_UKTJ
