About the role
This role will be responsible for overseeing the full operational delivery lifecycle of key
products and services—from initial implementation through to business-as-usual (BAU). This role ensures that operational plans are effectively implemented, services are delivered to a high standard, and customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met. The postholder will work collaboratively across cross-functional matrix teams to drive service excellence, manage change, and support continuous improvement.
This role will drive innovation and continuous improvement by embedding best practices in service management and lean operational strategies. You will play a central role in aligning cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality services.
The portfolio will include the successful delivery and ongoing enhancement of T Levels, Remote Invigilation Service, Qualification Wales, and UK & International Partnerships.
What you’ll be doing
Operational Planning & Service Delivery
• Lead operational implementation and delivery of services and contracts to BAU.
• Develop and maintain delivery plans aligned with objectives and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with teams for effective, transparent service delivery.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Ensure clear communication with stakeholders on service updates.
• Apply ITIL, PRINCE2, and Agile to drive operational excellence.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Act as a key contact for operational queries and escalations.
• Support development of customer-facing materials and training.
Project & Change Management
• Support transition of new services into operational delivery.
• Contribute to project planning, documentation, and reporting.
• Lead elements of change management and stakeholder engagement.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
• Identify and implement process improvements and service optimisation.
• Use data insights to drive efficiency and decision-making.
• Manage incidents, risks, and issues within frameworks.
• Champion innovation and best practice.
People Management & Development
• Lead and develop a high-performing, collaborative matrix team.
• Promote cross-functional knowledge sharing.
• Model inclusive values and behaviours, ensuring a customer-first mindset.
• Communicate direction consistently and share progress.
• Maintain your own CPD and learning.
Risk & Change Management
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring resilience.
• Lead or support change initiatives and system implementations.
• Ensure clear communication and stakeholder engagement during change.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, and performance, ensuring targets are met.
• Champion organisational values and customer-first culture.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role with a proven track record of leading remote teams to deliver targets consistently & to high quality standards
- Extensive experience in High-Stakes, High volume delivery of qualifications and assessments in a highly-regulated environment, in the UK and International markets
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in implementing recognised frameworks such as ITIL for Service Management and PRINCE2 and Agile for Delivery Management, with the ability to adapt and embed these practices to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Experience of managing remote teams and leading teams to deliver high performance
- Experience with End Point Assessment and/or Awarding organisation quality assurance
Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role
- Experience of working in similar role in an Awarding Organisation and/or EPAO environment
- Understanding of Ofqual conditions of recognition and experience of managing teams to meet regulatory requirements

Remote/home based working at Enginuity
Your working hours will be 35 per week, working 9am until 5pm with a 1 hour lunch.
As a home-based employee you will fulfil your job responsibilities from home. Interactions with work and colleagues will be from a virtual environment. Depending on your role you will be required to either have some occasional travel or UK national travel. This travel will be required to allow you to fulfil different parts of your role and to meet colleagues on a quarterly basis. Other meetings that might require you to travel are events such as all colleague away days, training, and project work. Please review the advert to gain this insight to how much travel is expected. Also, ask at interview stage to confirm the frequency of travel and distance.
The company will provide you with the IT equipment required to carry out your role but it is a requirement that you provide all the necessary facilities for working from home; including broadband, home office, desk and chair.
