Project Manager – Oil & Gas Outside IR35 | £500–£800 per day | 12 months + extension A leading UK engineering organisation delivering complex, high-profile projects across the energy and industrial sectors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a major long-term oil and gas programme. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, delivery capability, and engineering standards, this is a key opportunity to take ownership of a flagship, multi-year project—managing delivery across multiple sites and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead full project lifecycle delivery from initiation through to completion Act as the primary interface with the customer, managing communication, expectations, and reporting Drive programme execution across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and site activities Manage project scope, schedule, cost, and risk to ensure successful delivery Coordinate cross-functional teams including Projects, Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and SHEQ Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive issue resolution Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual requirements, and HSE regulations Travel regularly between Stockport, Lisburn, and the customer site in TeessideEssential Requirements Proven experience as a Project Manager within the oil and gas sector Strong track record delivering complex engineering or EPC-style projects Experience managing multi-site projects and cross-functional teams Ability to confidently interface with customers and senior stakeholders Strong understanding of project controls, risk management, and commercial awareness Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, and installation environments Willingness to travel as required across multiple locationsWhat’s on Offer Outside IR35 contract Competitive day rate Initial 12-month assignment with strong potential for long-term extension Opportunity to lead delivery on a major, high-profile oil and gas programmeIf you are an experienced Project Manager with a strong oil and gas background and a track record of delivering complex engineering projects, we’d love to hear from you
