Job Title: Ocean Export Specialist Operator Location: M34, Manchester Salary: £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-17:00pm

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ocean Export Specialist Operator to join a busy and growing freight forwarding team based in the M34 area of Manchester. This is a hands-on operational role managing ocean export shipments from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and compliant end-to-end service for a portfolio of customers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage ocean export shipments from booking through to final delivery Handle full export documentation including Bills of Lading, customs entries, and shipping instructions Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents, and customers Ensure all export shipments comply with international trade regulations and customs requirements Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any operational issues or delays Provide high levels of customer service and regular shipment updates Accurately maintain internal systems and records Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts and suppliers Support continuous improvement within export processes and procedures Requirements

Previous experience in freight forwarding, specifically ocean exports Strong understanding of export documentation and customs procedures Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and work under pressure Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Proficient in freight systems and Microsoft Office What's on Offer
