Job Title: Nursery Teacher\n\nLocation: Two schools in London - Putney, SW15 6EH and Southfields, SW19 6SP\n\nSalary: Level 2 - £26,500\n\nLevel 3 and above - £33,000\n\nJob Type: Full time/ Permanent\n\nWorking hours: Monday - Friday; 7:15am-5:15pm / 8am-6pm / 8:30am-6:30pm (1 hour lunch break + 15 min coffee/tea break)\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure that the high standards and philosophy of Noddy's is always implemented in front of children, parents and other staff members.\nEnsure that you are following the Early Years Foundation Stage, using all relevant paperwork to plan, observe, track and move children forward to their next stage of development\nBeing responsible for a key group of children, keeping an accurate record of their developments and achievements.\nWrite termly learning journeys for each child in your key group.\nBeing aware of each child's individual care needs, including medical information, sleeping and dietary needs.\nRecord the children's sleep times, eating habits and bottle-feeds and undertake weekly observations.\nPreparation and completion of activities, both in the classroom and in the garden, to suit each child's stage of development.\nEnsure that the children are safe and safeguarding procedures are always adhered to.\nEnsure children who are unwell are monitored in line with our sickness & temperature policies and that management are notified so arrangements can be made with the parents if they need to collect their child from Noddy's.Specific child care tasks:\n\nProvide toys, activities and equipment that is appropriate to each child's developmental stage.\nSing, read stories and play games with the children.\nSupervise at meal times, feeding and serving food, as necessary.\nChange nappies at regular times throughout the day or when required.\nCreate displays with the children's work and ensure that the classrooms always have displays up.\nWash up any painting materials or kitchen utensils used and clear up after activities.\nAssisting in the induction process for new children who have just joined Noddy's.\nEnsure that safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are always maintained.\nCommunicate regularly within the team, supporting other members of staff within your room and school.\nGreet, approach and talk to parents every day.\nPerform termly parent / teacher meetings - 3 per year.\nLiaise with parents, carers or family members, forming professional relationships and share with them their child's development.\nTo be flexible within working practices of the nursery, helping where required.\nTo work alongside management ensuring the standards and philosophy of the nursery are maintained.\nTo attend out of hours meetings, such as parent evenings, events and staff meetings\nAlways uphold the reputation and standards of Noddy's, both within working hours and outside.\nWork together as a team with your fellow staff membersAbout you:\n\nExperience working in nursery school preferred\nLevel 2 / Level 3 / Level 5 / QTS - Early years qualification preferredBenefits:\n\nHoliday - 25 days per year + 8 bank holidays - 33 days a year in total\n1 day off every 2 weeks. That is an extra 26 days off per year! A total of 59 days off per year!\nExtra holiday accrued through loyalty - 1 extra day per year and per promotion\nWe only promote internally.
A Senior Nursery Teacher can earn up to £34,700 per year and Junior Managers £40,000 per year. We promoted 20 staff in the last 12 months!\nFull training provided including paediatric first aid, hundreds of online courses, support to upskill in certain areas such as special educational needs (SEN), child development, manager training courses etc.\nCycle to Work Scheme.\nIn house chefs and housekeepers meaning no washing up or preparing food.
