Role Overview
This position is suited to a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a proactive and positive approach. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be capable of both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
Experience in sports nutrition flavour development is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop new product formulations for customers
* Improve existing products while managing cost considerations
* Research and apply new ingredients and technologies
* Conduct product matching against market samples
* Perform sensory evaluations including aroma, taste testing, and triangle tests
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
* Liaise with customers, including occasional visits and exhibitions
* Manage sample preparation, tracking, and dispatch
* Source materials and request supplier specifications
* Conduct preference testing
* Maintain laboratory standards, cleanliness, and equipment
* Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role

Requirements
* Degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred
* Minimum of two years’ laboratory experience
* Analytical and detail-oriented approach
* Customer-focused attitude
* Self-motivated and adaptable
* Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Full right to work in the UK
* Full, clean driving licence
