Their Bournemouth service currently supports young people across 19 independent accommodation settings, helping them build the skills, confidence and stability they need to move forward in life.
The Role: Night Support Worker
You'll play a vital role in ensuring young residents are safe, supported and empowered during the night, providing both practical and emotional support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in a calm overnight environment, and is passionate about helping young people achieve their goals.
You'll work across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, forming part of a supportive and committed team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide waking night cover from 9:30pm to 9am, ensuring resident safety and wellbeing at all times
Work face-to-face with young people to help them move towards independence and personal goals
Conduct initial and ongoing needs and risk assessments
Manage a caseload, providing holistic, person‑centred support tailored to each young person's needs and aspirations
Maintain the highest possible accommodation standards during night hours
Liaise with external agencies (e.g., social services, health teams, YOS) to ensure cohesive support for residentsPerson Specification
Are passionate about supporting young people facing homelessness or instability
Have experience in supported housing or similar environments
Can confidently support young people with a wide range of needs, from low to high support
Can work independently throughout the night as well as collaboratively with the wider team
Communicate clearly and calmly, especially during challenging or sensitive situations
Are enthusiastic, proactive and bring positive energy to a small, committed team
