Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

4 on / 4 off (days/nights), 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) Note: No Saturday night shifts; Saturday day shift is 8 hours.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on equipment. Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring all actions are recorded for trend analysis. Liaise with engineering leadership to ensure parts availability. Minimise downtime following breakdowns. Mentor and coach other engineers to maintain service quality. Champion health, safety, and building maintenance standards. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and practices.
Essential Requirements
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge of food processing machinery. Engineering apprenticeship with qualifications (BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering). Ideally, IEE qualification up to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Proven experience in fault-finding within an FMCG environment. Understanding of HACCP, COSHH, and GMP principles. PLC fault-finding and CMMS experience. Ability to implement preventative maintenance strategies. Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
Competent in building electrical control systems from switchgear to software implementation. Experience driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
