Were expanding quickly across central London and need a reliable, hands-on Caretaker/Maintenance Operative to keep our sites in top shape. This role is ideal for someone practical who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in fixing things properly, and likes being trusted to get on with the job. Youll be responsible for 1015 sites across central London, carrying out maintenance, routine checks, and reporting to make sure every space is safe, functional, and welcoming. What Youll Do Carry out day-to-day maintenance and handyman tasks, including painting, decorating, small repairs, and basic electrics (if qualified), running your own diary, prioritising your jobs list. Keep all sites looking great and working smoothly, spotting and fixing issues before they become problems, keeping all sites safe. Supervision of Subcontractors onsite (where necessary). Promptly responding to urgent maintenance requests. Take ownership of small repairs yourself, escalating only when larger specialist works are required. Move between sites in Central London by tube or bike (all within short distance) (well cover your travel between sites if by tube). Complete monthly compliance audits (training provided, no prior experience needed). Carry out monthly asset inventory checks and ensure consumables are being replenished as required. Complete site visit checklists and keep simple records of work, audits, and stock. Play a key role in ensuring our members always have a tidy, reliable, and safe space to train. What Were Looking For Hands-on experience in a maintenance, caretaker, or handyman role (2+ years). Good all-round practical skills: painting, basic repairs, decorating, and ideally some plumbing or electrics. Organised and dependable, able to work independently across multiple sites. Comfortable completing straightforward monthly audits and stock checks (full training provided). This Job Will Suit You If You enjoy variety and no two days being the same.
