Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our maintenance team. This role involves performing a wide range of technical tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday: 5.30 am -2.25 am

Pay:

  • Hourly Rate £21.95
  • Shift Allowance £2.44

Skills & Experience

  • Completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship(desirable)
  • Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance(essential)
  • Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities(essential)
  • Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance systems(essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings(essential)
  • High attention to detail, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal(essential)
  • Calm, resilient, and effective under pressure(essential)
  • Experience maintaining robotic systems(essential)
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems(desirable)
  • Confident using IT systems and maintenance software(essential)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational readiness and reliability of all equipment
  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance in line with schedules and procedures
  • Maintain equipment to maximise production uptime and efficiency
  • Accurately log maintenance activities and update system records
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance:Safety Quality, Equipment performance, Cost efficiency
  • Ensure clear and effective shift handovers (written and digital)
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Oversee site facilities, including compressors, boilers, chillers, fire systems, lighting, and general infrastructure

Additional Involvement

  • Support installation, commissioning, and acceptance of new equipment
  • Participate in equipment upgrades, process improvements, and site changes
  • Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and operational guideline
