Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly capable and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. This role is both hands-on and supervisory, requiring a strong technical background alongside proven people management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant performance in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipmentWork hands-on to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtimeLead, support, and develop a team of engineers, ensuring high performance and engagementManage and prioritise workloads in a high-pressure production environmentMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), ideally SAPRaise, track, and close work orders through SAP, ensuring data accuracy and complianceEnsure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and company proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiencyProvide technical guidance and training to junior team membersTechnical RequirementsIdeally multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical competenciesExperience working with high-pressure systems, including steam and compressed airStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilitiesExperience within a manufacturing / industrial environment preferredSkills & ExperienceProven experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering rolePrevious experience in a people management or supervisory position is essentialHands-on approach with a willingness to lead by exampleExperience using CMMS systems, preferably SAPAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong communication and organisational skillsQualificationsRelevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)Electrical qualifications (e.g., 17th/18th Edition) essentialJBRP1_UKTJ
