Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Temporary)
Location: Scunthorpe Contract Type: Temporary Industry: Food Manufacturing Shift Pattern: 06:00-14:00
Overview Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the engineering team on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will support production by ensuring all machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and performance
Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety, health and safety, and hygiene standards
Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
Assist with installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment as required
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible approach to working hours where required
