We are very pleased to offer the appointment of one Chief Registrar from Acute medicine or Geriatrics at the Royal Free London Hospitals NHS Trust. The post is based at Barnet General Hospital and offers an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join a committed team of consultants in this well-developed service. As per the RCP chief registrar scheme 40% of the post will be set aside for chief registrar work with 60% clinical work (including participation on the general on call rota).
We would welcome applications for less than full time working.
Responsibilities
- Providing a 'bridge' between senior clinical leaders, managers and the wider resident doctors workforce to improve communication, engagement and morale.
- Service improvement, for example redesigning pathways, implementing new technology and establishing new services to improve flow and outcomes for patients.
- Improving the quality of clinical and non-clinical education and training activities and supporting/mentoring other resident doctors to engage in quality improvement.
- Involvement in workforce planning and improving the deployment of resident doctors to meet service needs and improve morale.
- Improving efficiency and reducing waste.
