Motor Vehicle Technician

*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on various vehicle types, ensuring compliance with legal standards. * Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems. * Utilise both power tools and hand tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments as necessary. * Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and test results in accordance with regulatory requirements. * Communicate findings clearly to customers, providing recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance. * Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment. * Assist with heavy lifting tasks when required during vehicle handling and movement.
*Requirements*
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair. * Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools relevant to automotive testing. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during inspections and repairs. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to work methodically under pressure. * Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. * A valid MOT Tester certificate is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
