Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit a Plumber to cover Lincolnshire in a company van, where you will complete Plumbing Maintenance across a number of Banking, Education and Government contracts.
These are Retail, Commercial office sites and farming buildings.
Supported by Regional leadership and a Helpdesk function you will work to a PPM regime while also completing reactive repairs, focused on Plumbing, but with some general building fabric.
This is a great role, working for a large, successful FM provider on stable contracts, where you are entrusted to work independently, do not have to do regular evening or weekend overtime and will be home at 5PM.
There is also a good variety to the engineering works.
Actions will include:
- Performs scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned plumbing equipment in accordance with plumbing codes, diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's maintenance instructions.
- Repairs cracked pipes and opens clogged drainage. May work from ladders, scaffolding, hydraulic man lifts and other high-rise equipment.
- Observes plumbing systems and fixtures in operation to detect failures or locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantles devices and removes defective parts. Inspects used parts and equipment for changes in calibration, dimensional requirements and manufacturer's specifications.
- Tests and calibrates systems and equipment to ensure proper system operations using test equipment or precision measuring instruments.
- Maintains complex plumbing systems including equipment washers and steam cleaning devices, air compressors, hydraulic lifts, water and drainage systems, and sprinkler systems.
- Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and leak detection tests; solders or brazes tubing and piping; pours lead joints and seat equipment; installs and repairs complex combinations of couplings, unions and joints.
- Installs and replaces components in water heaters, tanks, sinks, showers, fuel and oil storage facilities in compliance with manufacturer's specifications by using approved procedures and test equipment.
We need from you:
- Lvl2 or above Plumbing Qualification
- Unvented ticket a bonus
- Driving license
- Ideally, some maintenance experience within commercial plumbing
