Job Description
Equans is looking for a Mobile Electrician to join our HMCTS contract. Based from Nottingham working across sites in the surrounding area. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week.
On offer is a salary of up to £35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.\n\nWhat will you deliver?\n\nPerform routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical infrastructure and plant according to site schedules and CAFM systems.\nAddress and resolve reactive maintenance tasks, proactively identifying areas for improvement.\nSwiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain equipment in operational order.\nMaintain adequate stock of spares to support maintenance and reactive works.\nProvide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial work.\nComplete all relevant documentation and ensure timely submission to the contract administrator.\nPrepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to uphold safe working practices.\nFoster strong working relationships with Equans staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.\nMaintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to PPE and uniform requirements.\nKeep up-to-date plant logs and supervise subcontractor activities on-site.\nEnsure compliance with contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).\nUtilise and update the CAFM system (e.g., PlanOn) with accurate data for PPM and reactive tickets.\nOperate the Permit to Work System in line with Equans' Technical and SHEQ processes.\nProvide engineering support during emergencies to ensure operational continuity.\nObtain necessary Technical Appointments (e.g., LVCP/LVAP/HVAP) to issue permits to subcontractors and Equans staff.\nEnsure maintenance, testing, and inspections comply with BS7671 standards.\nWhat can we offer you?On offer is a salary for £35,000 per annum and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package, which includes;\n\n24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)\nLife Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salary\nEmployee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers\nGym membership discounts \nCycle to work scheme \nHoliday purchase scheme\n2 corporate social responsibility days per year\nBroad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications,\ncollective/individual training, and personalized support programmes\nAttractive Employee Referral Rewards Scheme\nAccess to our growing employee networks including WiE (Women in Equans), RISE (BAME), LGBTQI+, Working Parents, YPN ( Persons Network) and our Network\n24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app\nWho are we looking for?  \n\nEssential\n\nNVQ Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds Technical Certificate in Electrical).\n18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.\nFull Clean UK Driving License.\nAbility to fault-find, diagnose, and rectify complex electrical faults independently.\nExcellent knowledge of electrical systems, enabling the development of switching schedules and safety documentation before shutdowns.\nCapability to plan and oversee electrical shutdowns for maintenance and testing.\nPrevious experience in a high-demanding maintenance engineering role. \nDue to the nature of the contract, successful post holder must be able to pass and maintain security vetting (BPSS/CTC)Desirable\n\nIPAF Certification.\nPASMA Qualification.                                                                                                                                      Who are we?
