I’m working with a well-established, specialist environmental & planning consultancy looking to hire an experienced Minerals & Waste Planning Consultant at Senior or Principal level.

This is a genuinely strong opportunity for someone who wants to step into a role with more ownership, technical depth and client exposure, working on complex projects across the minerals, waste and environmental sectors.

The role:

• Lead and contribute to a range of planning and environmental projects
• Manage EIAs and Environmental Statements
• Oversee planning applications and DCO submissions
• Coordinate internal teams and external specialists
• Provide clear, practical advice to clients and stakeholders
• Support business development and ongoing client relationships

✅ What they’re looking for:

• Solid experience in minerals & waste planning (essential)
• Strong understanding of UK planning policy and environmental legislation
• Experience working on or delivering EIA projects
• Comfortable managing projects, budgets and multiple stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• RTPI (or similar) membership preferred
