Contract:
3 months initially, with strong potential to extend iO Associates are partnered with a rapidly scaling data consultancy on an exciting project to migrate enterprise-scale data platforms into Microsoft Fabric. You'll play a key role in shaping how our client's next-generation data platform is built, moving beyond traditional architectures to fully leverage the potential of Fabric. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role within a fast-moving environment, perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges and driving modernisation projects forward.
The Role
Lead the migration of existing data pipelines and workloads into Microsoft Fabric.
Build and optimise ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark within the Fabric environment.
Work across OneLake, Data Factory, and Power BI to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end functionality.
Redesign data models and architectures to support real-time analytics and reporting.
Implement and uphold data quality, governance, and performance best practices.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver a smooth transition and measurable value.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years' experience as a Data Engineer in Azure environments.
Proven experience working with Azure data platforms and an understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and ETL pipeline development.
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Data Lake technologies.
Experience with data migration or modernisation projects.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently in fast-paced delivery settings.
