Role Purpose
The Director of M&A will lead the identification and evaluation then work with Group on execution, and integration of strategic acquisitions and divestitures across key markets. This role is pivotal in supporting AtkinsRéalis' growth ambitions, enhancing market presence, and driving long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Develop and maintain a robust M&A strategy aligned with corporate objectives and market trends.
• Identify and assess acquisition targets that align with strategic priorities in target sectors.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through market intelligence, industry networks, and partnerships.
Transaction Execution
• Support Group M&A on key processes including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and
deal structuring.
• Coordinate regional cross-functional teams (legal, finance, operations, HR, etc.) to ensure
seamless execution.
• Prepare and present investment cases and recommendations to the Executive Leadership
Team and Board.
Integration & Value Realisation
• Support post-merger integration planning and execution to ensure cultural alignment,
operational synergy, and financial performance.
• Monitor and report on integration progress and value capture to the region.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand strategic needs and identify M&A
solutions.
• Collaborate and jointly plan with Group M&A and where appropriate engage with external
advisors, investment banks, legal counsel, and consultants as needed.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis UK&I in negotiations and external engagements with target
companies.

• Deep understanding of engineering and infrastructure markets

Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Finance, Engineering, or MBA.
• 10+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, or investment banking
• Proven track record of leading successful transactions in relevant sectors
• Familiarity with regulatory and commercial frameworks in the UK and Ireland
