We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Meeting & Events Waiter/Waitress to support our Events Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service from set-up to final farewell.
About you...
Passionate about hospitality and food and beverage with previous similar work experience.
Basic knowledgeable of banquet operations, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented.
Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
Key Responsibilities
Job Summary To assist the Head of Events Operations and Supervisors in ensuring all guest and client requirements are met and that company standards are consistently achieved and maintained across quality, service, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Events Operations department, ensuring high standards of service, health & safety, and operational efficiency
Assist with preparation and planning for upcoming events
Support the Events team during the set-up and breakdown of all events
Ensure all event spaces are fully set and guest-ready for each event, in line with 1 Hotel Mayfair standards
Act as a point of contact for banqueting guests and clients during assigned events, delivering the highest levels of service and satisfaction
Work closely with the Events Management team to ensure all events are delivered according to guest requirements and function sheets (BEOs)
Supervise and support agency waiting staff during events
Ensure event spaces are left neat, tidy, and prepared for the next event when not in use
Report all accidents involving associates or agency staff to the First Aider on duty and ensure appropriate accident reports are completed
Respond to additional requests from Events Management in the interest of guest satisfaction and company standards
Monitor and maintain departmental standards, supporting the training of casual and agency staff
Actively contribute to continuous service improvement alongside the Events Management team
Attend hotel and departmental meetings when required
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress within a quality establishment, preferably within Meetings & Events or banqueting
Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
Friendly, assertive, proactive, and professional personality
Impeccable grooming and presentation standards
