Wallsend Salary:circa £40,000 per annum Contract:Fixed term, 12 months Location:On-site, North Tyneside Role Overview Hands-on mechanical assembly role within a heavy engineering environment Assembly of large steel fabrications, hydraulic cylinders and operating systems Working from engineering drawings and parts lists to deliver high-quality builds Ensuring compliance with production schedules, quality standards and safety requirements Key Responsibilities Assemble complex mechanical and hydraulic systems Build and fit large-scale steel fabrications and hydraulic equipment Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings Perform hydraulic builds, testing and system integration Maintain safe working practices in line with company and regulatory standards Collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient workflow Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving activities Required Experience & Skills Proven mechanical assembly experience in a heavy engineering environment Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong decision-making and fault-finding capability High attention to detail and accuracy Confident working independently and as part of a team Qualifications HNC or equivalent technical qualification (or relevant practical experience) Whats on Offer Fixed-term stability with real technical challenge On-site role working on high-quality engineered products Personal development opportunities and professional working environment Please apply with your CV.
