Description

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies.

Monitor and inspect equipment for wear and tear, identifying potential issues early.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and manufacturing department.Profile

A successful Mechanical Technician should have:

A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial or manufacturing sector.

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

A proactive approach to maintaining workplace safety.
