Site Manager (Mechanical) – Live Hospital Project Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £60,000 + Car Allowance Contract Type: Permanent
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to deliver key mechanical works on a live hospital project in Wolverhampton.
You will be working for a leading energy and engineering specialist delivering large-scale carbon-reduction programmes across critical environments. The project involves significant mechanical installations within an existing hospital building, requiring strong planning, coordination and live-environment experience.
Scope of Works
* Installation of a new heat pump system
* Thermal stores
* Transformer installation
* Distribution pipework
* Secondary pumps
* BMS modifications
* Associated mechanical plant and infrastructure works within an operational hospital
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of mechanical works on site within a live healthcare environment
* Coordinate subcontractors, labour and materials to ensure programme delivery
* Ensure all works comply with health & safety, hospital procedures and project RAMS
* Liaise with project managers, estates teams and hospital stakeholders
* Oversee quality, inspections, testing and commissioning support
* Maintain accurate site records, permits and progress reporting
Ideal Background
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or Site Manager delivering mechanical packages
* Previous experience working in live healthcare or critical environments
* Hands-on experience with heat pumps, plant rooms, pipework and BMS-related works
* Strong understanding of health & safety and working within occupied buildings
* Ability to manage multiple trades and interface with operational stakeholders
