Mechanically Biased Shift Engineer – Blackburn Salary- £53,000+ Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off Days and nights Pension: 10% Company Contribution Location: Blackburn We are seeking a proactive, mechanically skilled and safety-conscious Shift Engineer to join our engineering & maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical capability, methodical problem-solving ability, and experience within an industrial or production environment.
About You You'll bring a strong mechanical background supported by recognised qualifications and at least three years of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, or industrial engineering settings. You'll be someone who understands how machinery behaves and can diagnose, repair and improve plant performance with confidence and care. You will also: Have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, bearings, drives, gearboxes and moving plant. Have a safety-first mindset, backed by practical knowledge of engineering controls and site precautions. Work well individually and collaboratively. Take pride in delivering work to a high standard.
