About the Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (known internally as a Maintenance Fitter) at our Waresley site, you will be part of our hands on inhouse team who keep the plant running by ensuring the equipment runs smoothly.
From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you will be hands-on with specialist machinery, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. It's a dynamic role where problem-solving skills and technical expertise are used daily, and you will be a key player contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.
Our engineers have a varied role, so youll get the chance to use a variety of maintenance skills associated with being a fitter, fabricator, welder, and service engineer.
Our Hartlebury site produces bricks, supporting our manufacturing of high-quality building materials across the UK.
The site is near to Waresley and Rushock, easily commutable from Stourport-on-Severn, Kidderminster, Bewdley, Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove. Due to the site location, it is accessible by personal vehicles only. Free parking is available.
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off shift pattern. 1 week of days (6am to 6pm), then 4 off, followed by 1 weeks of nights (6pm to 6am), then 4 off.
About You
Essential
Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent
Mechanically biased maintenance experience within a manufacturing or factory environment
Strong experience of safe working practices and health and safety standards
Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical systems
Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive chains
Bearing fitting and alignment experience
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced production environment
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Desirable
Completed a hands-on engineering apprenticeship
HNC or HND qualification or equivalent
Experience in heavy industry manufacturing
Knowledge of cutting and grinding regulations
Arc and MIG welding and basic fabrication experience
Electrical control systems experience
