A well-established industrial manufacturer is looking for a Department Engineer to take ownership of mechanical maintenance across a defined area of a large-scale processing site. You'll lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices, drive the weekly maintenance schedule, and play a central role in building a reliability-centred culture that actually sticks.
This isn't a reactive firefighting role. The expectation is that you'll lead from the front, coaching your team, resolving problems at root cause, and contributing to long-term maintenance planning when new equipment arrives on site.
What you'll be doing: Leading the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule via a CMMS Managing tradespeople, apprentices, and external contractors Driving reliability improvement projects using lean principles Supporting fault diagnosis and equipment failure analysis Contributing to maintenance input on new equipment installations Working toward Senior Authorised Person status
