MC Technical Recruitment are working with a leading provider of power generation and gas-to-grid systems to recruit a Mechanical Fitter with welding experience to join their skilled installation and service team. This is a permanent, full-time role involving mechanical installs, pipework, and fabrication both on site and in the workshop.
You’ll be involved in a wide range of mechanical installation and retrofit projects across the UK, including hands-on welding and fabrication work to support new builds and service upgrades.
As the Mechanical Fitter, your responsibilities will include:
Installing and retrofitting mechanical systems and components across energy sites Working on engines, compressors, pumps, pipework, and mechanical assemblies Performing welding and fabrication tasks (MIG/TIG/Stick – depending on experience) Supporting service and maintenance activities during non-install periods Assisting with small workshop-based fabrication and mechanical build projects Collaborating with engineers to deliver safe, high-quality installations Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and engineering standards
