Our Client has a requirement for a Mechanical Engineer/ Senior Mechanical Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington. Role Purpose: Provide expert mechanical engineering support under a major nuclear decommissioning programme. This project combines the skills of the client and its partners to deliver a significant step change in project delivery. Receive Special Nuclear Material packages from existing storage locations. Retreat and/or repackage SNM into 100-year storage packages. Transfer these new packages to the Product & Residue Store for secure storage until 2120. Ensure SNM safety and security into the next century and beyond. The project is currently in the execution phase (procurement, design, manufacture, testing, installation, commissioning). The role supports design activities, completes outstanding design scope, and oversees formal design change implementation.
