ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY - £28,000-£32,000, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Hampshire

My client designs and manufactures bespoke products for the Defense & Security sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Hampshire area on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

At least 2 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering position Experienced with machinery design, hydraulics, sheet metal and precision components Strong 3D CAD skills – ideally Inventor Strong practical skills – hand calculations, verification, validation, FEA, testing, prototyping Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / ONC qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering or similar Experienced designing products from concept to production Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry Innovative, accurate and passionate about design Be technically minded with a head for problem solving Excellent leadership and organisational skills Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
