Your role

Capgemini Engineering is recruiting mechanical design engineers at all levels, from graduates to principals. As part of a large, collaborative team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. With high customer expectations, we're looking for adaptive and driven individuals who are committed to delivering ‘right first time’.

You will join a large team of mechanical design engineers working on high-profile projects within the aerospace and defence sector. You will use creative problem-solving skills to formulate, develop and deliver design engineering solutions.

• Define and deliver complex product and system designs by developing assemblies, sub-assemblies, 3D models, technical drawings, BoMs, and interface documentation—ensuring compliance with industry standards and manufacturing specifications.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to manage digital mock-ups, resolve design issues, support lifecycle activities, and maintain quality through PLM systems and established development processes, aligned with Capgemini’s QMS.

Your profile

• A strong engineering background and/or relevant engineering degree

• Experience within the aerospace and defence industry desirable, experience within other sectors also considered.

• 3D modelling and 2D drafting experience in CAD, ideally Siemens NX and/or Catia V5/3DEXPERIENCE, experience with other CAD packages also considered.

• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, including GD&T.

• Experience using PLM systems, ideally Teamcenter and/or 3DEXPERIENCE PLM.
