Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer\n\nLocation: Coventry\nSalary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum\nJob Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nWe are working with a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment. Their team designs and manufactures all equipment in-house, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing design team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Create detailed 3D models using SolidWorks.\n\n * Produce accurate 2D fabrication and assembly drawings.\n\n * Review and prepare drawing documentation.\n\n * Develop technical documentation in line with departmental procedures.\n\n * Provide technical support internally and externally.\n\n * Maintain internal record systems and drawing logs.\n\n * Conduct site visits and surveys for new projects.\n\nCandidate Profile\n\n * Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering (Degree, HNC, A-Level, or equivalent).\n\n * Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and drawing.\n\n * Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).\n\n * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.\n\n * Key competencies: creativity, teamwork, communication.\n\n * Ability to commute (Full UK driving licence ).\n\nDesirable Skills\n\n * Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.\n\n * Familiarity with AutoCAD/Draftsight.\n\n * Understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, steel fabrication).\n\n * Experience with industrial pipework (flanges, fittings).\n\n * Ability to survey and measure accurately.\n\nBenefits\n\n * Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (4:30pm Fridays).\n\n * 21 days holiday + statutory bank holidays (additional days with service).\n\n * Company pension scheme.\n\n * On-site parking
