Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify faults and necessary repairs
Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as servicing, oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
Diagnose issues accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
Carry out major repairs including engine replacements, timing chain/belt replacements, and clutch repairs
Rebuild engines and repair or replace defective components as required
Maintain clear and accurate service records, including parts used and repairs performed
What We’re Looking For
Solid mechanical experience including:
Engine and clutch replacements
Timing chain and belt changes (Ford, Peugeot, VW, etc.)
Following PDI check procedures
Confident fault finding and problem-solving
Familiarity with Land Rover vehicles is a strong advantage
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Some knowledge of electrical systems is desirable, but not essential
Must have your own set of small tools (larger equipment provided)
Valid UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive repair (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds)
Proficiency with diagnostic systems and repair procedures
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
