Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager for a high-value commercial fit-out project in Oxford. The successful candidate will have a strong fit-out background combined with solid mechanical and electrical expertise, capable of managing a £10m M&E package from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Full responsibility for the delivery of the M&E works package on a commercial fit-out project

*

Management and coordination of M&E subcontractors and suppliers

*

Programme management to ensure works are delivered on time and to budget

*

Review and coordination of M&E design information, drawings, and specifications

*

Chairing and attending progress meetings with the wider project team

*

Ensuring compliance with all health & safety, building regulations, and project standards

*

Managing commissioning, testing, and final handover of M&E systems

*

Close liaison with the main contractor, client team, consultants, and site management

Key Requirements

*

Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager on commercial fit-out projects

*

Strong background in both mechanical and electrical services

*

Experience managing large M&E packages (circa £10m preferred)

*

Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple workstreams simultaneously

*

Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills

*

SMSTS / CSCS (or equivalent) preferred

Competitive freelance rate (dependent on experience)

One-year contract with potential for extension
