This is a fantastic opportunity for a Materials Engineer or Mechanical Engineer or Composites Engineer to join a forward-thinking business where innovation is valued, your ideas are heard, and your career can grow alongside the company.
Your background as a Materials Engineer: Your background could be very varied the role would suit a candidate with a materials engineering, materials science, composites engineering, or mechanical engineering background interested in how products and materials are developed, tested, and manufactured.
You will hold a relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in materials engineering, materials science, composites engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar engineering / science-based discipline.
Any previous industry experience focused on the testing, development, performance, or manufacturing of materials, composites, polymers, ceramics or mechanical products would be advantageous.
An interest in working on the development of products for automotive, specialist vehicles, aerospace, defence, marine or similar applications would be beneficial.
You must be eligible for UK Defence Security Clearance for this role.
Materials Engineer responsibilities: You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of product development and manufacturing projects ensuring that materials used meet the highest demands required by their customers operating within a wide variety of advanced engineering sectors.
Working closely with R&D teams to ensure the smooth integration of new products into the manufacturing process.
Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to investigate and uncover the root causes of material failures and implement effective solutions.
Undertake technical initiatives such as material dual sourcing, material compliance and material/parts verification.
Evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies in manufacturing to drive innovation.
