Execute Manufacturing Product Introduction activities, including the design of the overall Method of Manufacture and of individual process steps using the Product Quality Planning toolsetFundamental knowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA to influence Product definition / final form manufactureCreate and validate Production Technical Instructions which are capable of delivering design intent and meeting customer and business requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate & Leadtime (SQCD).Be accountable for being the manufacturing technical authority for the product and the management of First offs, new part numbers, significant method resequencing and introduction of new toolingAct as the primary Manufacturing Engineering representative within a cross-functional team for their owned part(s)Position Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is/has:A degree, or equivalent, in an engineering or related technical discipline with previous experience in a manufacturing engineering and/or process engineering backgroundExperience of any of fabrications, valves, complex assemblies, machining and of critical classified components.Strong analytical skills and a proven record of technical problem-solving skills along with knowledge of six sigma / lean techniquesGood communicator and able to liaise with all levels of staffPosses excellent organisational and presentation skills and feel comfortable presenting at all levelsFor more than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed, supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant, providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines. To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines an individual must hold a Security Check clearance. We will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't already have it.
