Job Description As part of their continued growth in the utilities sector a tier 1 civil engineering contractor is seeking to recruit a Lead Managing Quantity Surveyor to complement their team on a Capital Delivery Framework in the water sector.
The role could offer an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to take the next step in their career and lends itself to an ambitious candidate seeking fast-track progression to Commercial Manager.
The company are very much people-focused, and a heavy emphasis is placed on staff welfare, professional development and training.
This role is with the water division, the wider group maintains a strong presence in civil engineering, rail, aviation and construction.
The Managing Quantity Surveyor will:
Lead, support and encourage the commercial staff with their duties (training, mentoring and appraisal);
Develop an environment where Commercial and Project Management staff share ideas and best practices;
Monitor and support commercial staff through agreeing and regularly reviewing personal objectives;
Facilitate coaching/training to develop staff and ensure that Roles and Responsibilities for their commercial team members are understood and met.
