Managing Quantity Surveyor Location: Hybrid, 3 days in

North Wales , travelling to various sites. Salary: £85,000 + additional benefits

Turner Lovell are recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join an £1billion + turnover EPC Contractor in the electricity and renewable energy sector. Following the award of multi-year framework agreements, the company is expanding its team to deliver turnkey HV substation projects across the UK, ranging from £20 million to £150 million.

This is a hybrid role, and we are looking for a candidate who can access the North Wales project site at least 3 times a week.

Responsibilities: Lead all commercial activities across multiple OHL projects (delivering projects under National Grid framework) Oversee subcontract packages, including valuations and agreement of final accounts Produce claims, management reports, and cost forecasts Monitor project risks closely and ensure all commercial documentation is robust and accurate Identify variations, delays, and cost recovery opportunities early Collaborate with engineering, planning, and finance teams to maintain programme and budget control Ensure full compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements

Requirements: Experience or understanding of the Electricity Transmission sector (OHL / Substations) is advantageous, though strong major infrastructure experience on multi-million-pound projects will also be considered Proven experience managing large subcontractor work packages and liaising directly with the Client Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent 'graduate-level' experience Solid knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, especially Options A, B and E. Strong communication and negotiation capabilities Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying Valid full UK driving licence This is an exciting new opportunity to join one of the leading organisations in the electricity transmission sector and work on projects of significant importance to the energy transmission targets.
