MEL Environmental Solutions is looking for an ambitious Management Accountant who's ready to step out of the back office and into a role where your insight genuinely changes how the business performs.
This is a hands-on, commercially driven role where you'll partner with operational leaders, influence decisions, and help us grow responsibly across the UK. If you want exposure, ownership and the chance to make your mark fast-this is it.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Get stuck into weekly forecasting, helping the business stay ahead of the curve.
  • Own monthly KPI reporting, P&L reviews and financial commentary that the management team relies on.
  • Dive into costs, spot trends, challenge performance and influence action.
  • Support with tender submissions that win new business.
  • Build trusted partnerships across our sites-your presence on the ground matters.
  • Take charge of month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and WIP reviews.
  • Play a key role in the budgeting process.
  • Drive improvements in WIP, aged debt and financial discipline across the business.
  • Review capital expenditure and manage project finances to keep delivery on track.
  • Ensure invoicing is timely and accurate.
  • Carry out ad-hoc analysis that shapes operational decisions.
  • Help us improve systems, processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
  • Newly qualified or final-stage CIMA / ACCA / ACA.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • A confident communicator who can build relationships and challenge constructively.
  • Highly organised, comfortable working under pressure, and eager to grow.
  • A UK driving licence
