We are recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor to join a well-established but growing manufacturing business operating within a heavy industrial environment. This is a key leadership role within the maintenance team where you will lead and develop the electrical function on site, driving continuous improvement, compliance and reliability across plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as a champion for electrical improvements.
· Lead and deliver electrical improvement projects (planning, budgeting & execution)
· Apply preventative & predictive maintenance practices to improve plant reliability
· Identify & highlight long-term plant risks - support senior management with repair & investment plans
· Monitor completion and quality of electrical tasks (audits and spot checks)
· Identify skills gaps within the team and implement development plans
· Support team retention
· Ensure all statutory electrical inspections are completed in line with legislation and follow-up actions closed out
· Conduct weekly safety briefings and participate in near miss reporting and safety actions
Skills & Experience Required
· 18th Edition qualified
· Proven experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
· Management or supervisory experience
· Strong knowledge of high-voltage infrastructure
· Experience with ATEX and DSEAR regulations
· Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motor circuits, electricity and electronics
· PLC systems knowledge and experience
· Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
· Financial management and budget control experience
· Strong understanding of engineering and business principles
· NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (preferred)
