Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Shift Pattern: Panama Shift - 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm) / Monday - Friday - No Weekends!

Are you a talented Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong FMCG background? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic and expanding engineering team at a leading food manufacturing site in Liverpool.

The Role

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of a close-knit team responsible for maintaining specialist machinery and equipment across the site. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure smooth factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair production equipment and machinery Perform site-wide preventative maintenance Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime Support factory start-up and equipment testing Complete documentation accurately and on time

What We're Looking For

Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) Strong mechanical background in maintenance Experience in a controlled manufacturing environment (food industry experience is a plus) Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills Understanding of statutory requirements and food safety Proactive approach to health and safety
