Maintenance Engineer – Electrically Biased (Double Days)
If you're an electrically biased engineer who doesn’t fancy the 4-on-4-off circus or the zombie life of night shifts, this one might land well.
This is a double days role (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) with a well-established food manufacturer in Leeds — the kind of place that values engineers who can think fast, act smart, and fix problems without needing to be handheld.
It’s fast-paced, as you'd expect in food production. But they’ve got the kit, the support, and the standards that make it a rewarding place to work — not just a firefighting session from clock-in to clock-out.
You’ll be:
Electrically biased but mechanically capable
Hands-on with planned and reactive maintenance
Involved in driving improvements, not just band-aid fixes
Comfortable working with production to reduce downtime and increase output
Experience with any of the following would be a big bonus:
Multihead weighers
Check weighers
Metal detectors
Horizontal & vertical form/fill/seal machines
High-speed fillers
Shrink wrappers
What’s in it for you?
A solid shift pattern with no night shifts
Strong, stable business with a great reputation
Well-supported team environment
Opportunities to get involved in projects and CI
If you’re the kind of engineer who spots problems before they happen and still enjoy...
